| Children's Worship
|
We welcome baptised children as full members of the church - we believe that everyone is welcome to participate in worship in whatever way is appropriate for them. In the past Sunday School was seen as the alternative to church for children - we believe that church is expressed in many ways and that children (and others) have a choice about how they worship God. We offer Children's Worship at St Cuthbert's alongside the 9.30am Holy Communion service, in the Yatton Room. We will explore some of the the themes from the Bible Readings in a variety of ways with songs, activities, games and conversation. We encourage children to share their understanding and insights, so that we can all learn from one another. Children's Worship joins the rest of the congregation for the second part of Holy Communion ("The Liturgy of the Sacrament") and children choose to sit either with their parents or with those who have been helping them in the first part. The PCC has agreed that baptised children are welcome, after preparation, to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion. |
